New Projects For a New Year

Some of my New Year's rituals have ended. Without a TV and with limited bandwidth, I no longer watch 'the ball drop' nor can I watch the Rose Parade. Those were pretty passive things to do anyway. Instead I decided to get started on my new free form crocheted afghan. I'll be doing a different color each day for a year. Then I'm going to start my brand new line of resin distressed jewelry, talismans, prayer boxes, amulets and pocket shrines.

Fun Hat

I just finished this fun crocheted hat that has two nozzles to put your pony tails or braids through. It's a great hat for parades, clowning, drum circles, Burning Man or those cool nights of fire spinning on the beach. I made a big floppy daisy to put right on the top. I'm going to list it on Etsy and probably on Yardsellr. It's going to rain soon so I'm glad I got the photos done. I can't wait to make a hat like this for myself. I love the bullion knots on it.

Like many Etsy sellers I wander through a lot of Etsy shops. Today I found gaiaconceptions.etsy.com on the front page of Etsy. It's a wondrous clothing shop. I love the photos. I don't know her, but I hope you go take a look to see what she has to offer.
