Sewing Article

At first hardly anyone read this article, but now that the economy and the global warming thing are on everyone's mind the do-it-yourself crowd is turning to sewing as a way to repurpose things they already own, rather than buying new. Imagine the money you'll save when you start mending and remodeling your already owned clothing. Turn those jeans into hot pads and purses and place mats. Cut apart old sweaters and make mittens, and a scarf or a toy. Socks can be sewn into sock monsters, bears or other creatures. Use your noggin and I'm sure you'll be surprised.
