Red Loom Pink Hat
I made this pink hat with 2 strands of yarn on the red loom. It was for the little girl upstairs, but it's going to be too small. I think the green ring is going to be too big. Knifty Knitter needs a loom between the red and green sizes.

weekend crafts
I just finished crocheting two bacon and egg scarves.
Yesterday I painted two gourds in a style inspired by the aboriginies. I want to do more on those when I have time. Today I just had no energy so didn't get a whole lot done. I got 3 more pumpkins to carve on Halloween. The price dropped from .28 lb to .19 a lb so I'm glad I only bought one at the higher price.

More knitting.
Today I worked on knitted finger puppets and a hat that will have a long tail. I made tostadas for lunch. I'm stuffed. I'm thinking of making some mittens this winter. I've been meaning to for years.

finish those projects
Yesterday and today I've been going through unfinished projects. I started crocheting a raspberry beret. I also added a few rounds to another crocheted wizard's hat. I can't continue either one until I find more pink for the beret and more black for the wiz.
I finished 2 hats on the Knifty Knitter Loom. I just need to sew in the loose ends. I found a hexagon hat I had started but not finished. I found a bag of amigurumi I need to list on Etsy including a little multicolored elephant.
I found a skein of Homespun in autumn shades so started another knitting loom hat with that colorway. It's going to be soft and squishy and lovely.
I finished the orange triangle section of my royal blue knitted hat. Now I have to start the decreases up to the tip. And I'm still working on the City Lights hat I am knitting. It would be nice to finish at least one thing today.

Loom Hat
I haven't used my knitting loom in a while so I thought I'd start a new hat on it today. I'm using the 'magic ball' technique and two strands. The primary strand is a medium blue, and the 'magic ball' yarn is assorted colors. I think this will be a stocking cap look. I've only made one of the longer hats so far, and I've put it away so well I can't find it, so it's time to make another one.
Also, today was the first windy autumn day we had so YAY it's cozy hat weather. Whoopie!

City Lights
Today I'm knitting a hat I designed called City Lights. It has five colors. It's challenging keeping all the butterflies (bobbins) from getting too tangled. But nothing ventured, nothing gained right?

Freestyle Crochet
Each day I work a bit on my freestyle crochet. It's very portable. Just a small tote back, five or six leftover balls of yarn, 2 hooks, and some scissors and I can go for hours. When I get home I take the motifs I already made and put them in the box, add new yarn if I'm running low, and I'm good to go for the next trip to a park or a waiting room. Easy peasy.

Hula Hoop
After much searching for the perfect tubing I finally found it at the Lowe's in Torrance and made my first giant hula hoop and made it look spiffy by decorating it with red and black electrical tape to make a pirate theme. I'm going to have to practice because I can barely remember how to hoop anymore.

On the train
While riding the Amtrak up the cost and back last week, I got to knit and crochet a lot. I finished a scarf and the parts for a hat that I didn't even start until I got on the train. The conductor even commented on how industrious I was. I said, "Well, it's my job and I can do it on the train just as well as at home." He laughed at that and probably thought I was a crazy woman.

The Craft of Blogging
I devote every Monday to blogging. I update old blogs, add new goodies, etc. Today I added a counter to this blog and redecorated. Blogging is a craft in itself. I joined Technorati.com for free, to help me keep track of my blogs and I really enjoy it. Someday I hope to have all my blogs on there, so each Monday I add two or three to Technorati. I love their watch list too.

Hair Medallions
Today I'm designing some hair medallions for tribal belly dancing. So far I've cut four leather discs. I'm just not sure what I want to do next. I have shells, beads, and bone carved bits. So I should be able to come up with something cool. I'm not sure what I want to use to fasten them to my hair. Barrettes? Hair pins? Rubber band hair tie loops? Hair combs? Any suggestions?

New Harry Potter Book
Today I'm going to be waiting in line at the Barnes and Noble in Huntington Beach for the release of the last Harry Potter book. I'm taking my arts and crafts with me for what I hope will be many hours of crafting. I'm going to take my eraser carving kit and swing by Pearl first to get some more erasers or carving material. I'm also taking the Harry Potter Slytherin scarf I'm still knitting. And this morning I had another idea for a witchy scarf with dangly bits to wear with my witches costume in purple and black. I may take some beadwork with me as well.

Etsy Zoo and Crocheting with a Double Hook
I'm not quite sure what I want to work on today. Yesterday I started a lap blanket in yellow and black stripes so I could learn to crochet with a double ended hook. That is coming along nicely. Since it's a practice piece though, I don't have quite enough yellow or black to finish it, so I'll have to put some other colors in there or see if I have more of those hidden in my stash.
I definitely want to paint today though. I'm just not sure what I want to paint. The ETSY ZOO animal this week is MOUSE so something with a mouse theme would be good. Joining the zoo is free http://flickr.com/groups/etsyzoo/ and joining Etsy is free, so if you tend to make animal themed crafts, come join us.
I also ordered beads for the next Bead Challenge on Etsy. I like the colors much better this time around.

Sunhat
My craft for today was to take a basic cartwheel sunhat and decorate it for a wedding. I wanted it to have a ribbon streaming down my back. So I entwined some pale purple netting with a purple metallic scarf and wrapped it as a hatband around the crown. Now I have to secure it all down so it won't blow off or fall off if I bend over. I also need to put a new bead on the chin strap. I was hoping to do something a little more elaborate but I'm drawing a blank. Maybe I'll have a new inspiration in the morning.

Works in progress
Well, I'm back over here. The Blogging thing gets more and more complicated, doesn't it?
I know it's only Feb. but we are getting a bit of a heat wave. I was wearing a tank top yesterday and I was still too hot as I ran my errands.
I have several projects going right now. I'm making a paper mosaic. But I got sidetracked and started working on a pencil drawing of a calico cat. I want to make some ACEO's for my shop here: http://www.Pigglewiggins.etsy.com .That stands for artist cards editions and originals. So if the two drawings come out, I'll get them scanned, shrunk down and made into ACEO prints.
